IELTS PREPARATION COURSE IN BOGOR (2017)

Some people contacted me by Whatsapp messenger, asking me if I could help them prepare their IELTS test that they would take soon. When I asked them how soon the test was, they said "next week" or "this Saturday" or "tomorrow". At first I had a positive thinking about them. They must have studied hard before so that they just needed a few sessions to "brush up" their memories. However, most of the time I was wrong; they had not prepared before; they had not taken an IELTS preparation course before; and to make it worse, some of them did not know what IELTS test looked like. When I asked them why they had not taken a course before, most of them said that they had not had any time, but then they had to take the test as an IELTS certificate with good scores became one of the requirements for their jobs or educations.
Well, maybe this is my focus: helping people with limited time to prepare for their IELTS tests.

Of course it is not easy to help them. With very limited time and number of sessions, I have to help them understand and master the test format, help them do the practice tests, correct their homework, remind them of everyday practices and encourage them to be self confident. Am I always successful? No, not always. Some students succeed; some others cannot.

Again, there are some factors that influence someone's success in an IELTS test. First, the student's English background. When their English has been in the intermediate level or higher, it will be easier for the student to understand what to do. Second, the target. If the target is reasonable. For example, someone who is in the intermediate level wants to reach the score of 6 will have more chances to reach the score that someone else whose language level is lower. Third, the student's commitment. If they are serious to spare enough time and to practise much, there is a possibility that he will score higher or at least reach his target.Last but not least, self confidence is one of the most important factor. You have it, and you will break a leg.

IELTS Preparation Course in Bogor

Do you know what IELTS is? Are you looking for an IELTS preparation course in Bogor ? Why should we take IELTS ? Well, there are lots of questions about IELTS. The following is a piece of information about IELTS.

Two Forms of IELTS

The IELTS test has two forms. They are the Academic test (or the academic module) and the General Training test (or General Training Module). The module that you take will depend on the reason that you are taking it for. In genereal the Academic Module is for those people who are trying to gain entry onto undergraduate or postgraduate education courses or for professional reasons. For example, you want to go to a university in England or Australia, you can take it. The General Training Module is for those people who wish to join some kinds of vocational or training courses, secondary schools or for immigration purposes.

Four Parts of IELTS

You should realise that both Academic and General Training modules try and reflect real life situations to test whether a candidate would survive in English speaking social and academic environments. For example, the Part 2 section of the speaking asks candidates to talk, after 1 minute's preparation, for 1 to 2 minutes on a given general topic. This would test General Training candidates to see if they could give a "work related presentation" to fellow work colleagues and would test Academic candidates if they can give a "university style presentation" to fellow students. It tests whether candidates have the English language capability to perform these tasks under some kind of pressure.

Both the Academic and General Training modules are divided into four parts: reading, writing, listening and speaking. The listening and speaking tests are exactly the same for the Academic and General Training modules but the reading and writing tests are different.

To prepare yourself for the test, especially if you live in Bogor, you can take an IELTS preparation course in Bogor. You can choose one of the good English courses in Bogor. 10 Top Tips to Improve Your IELTS Score

A lot of students and professionals take IELTS every year. This thing also happens in Bogor. Some English courses provide IELTS Preparation classes for them and there is a trend that more and more candidates register for the test preparations. Besides joining IELTS preparation regular classes, students can also have private lessons with competent English tutors. Outside the classroom they can also study from books, internet and other means. The following is an executive summary on some tips to improve their IELTS score. This summary is presented by Hugh O'Connell  as he wrote in  http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Hugh_O'Connell. You may read the original article. Otherwise, you might be interested in the following summary. Happy reading.

10 Top Tips to Improve Your IELTS Score

So you're thinking of taking the IELTS test and want to maximise your score? Here are my top ten tips based on my many years of teaching IELTS to a variety of students in different countries. They are presented in no particular order.

Tip One
Prepare, prepare, prepare....yes, I know it sounds obvious, but I have known many "over confident" candidates take the test with little or no preparation.

Tip Two
Speed!
Once you are confident that you have mastered the techniques read some IELTS practice papers and time yourself. Maybe your vocabulary needs improving or perhaps you need more practice with the speed reading techniques.
Listening takes practice - listen to English as much as possible so that your ear becomes attuned to the language.

Tip Three
Make sure you read the examination instructions - too many candidates just dive into the test without taking this important step. The instructions can contain vital information needed to answer the questions correctly.

Tip Four
Keep up in the listening test - unlike in reading and writing, in the listening part of the test you have no control over the timing.

Tip Five
Don't leave blanks - in both reading and listening you are required to answer a variety of question types including multiple choice, gapfills, short answer and so on. If time is short or you have no idea of the answer then GUESS.

Tip Six
Be helpful and willing to answer questions.
Tip Seven
In speaking test interviews try to be natural and friendly. Does it sound natural when you speak?

Tip Eight
Articles - many candidates find the use of articles one of the most difficult tasks in English. Use a good grammar book to practice your use of articles before the test.

Tip Nine
Keep up to date with current affairs.

Tip Ten
Writing word count - writing task one usually requires you to write 150 words and writing task two 250. Read the questions carefully and make sure you follow the instructions in your test.
